MOST CLICKED ON PIECE OF THE MONTH: "Woah" is the response we hear most often in regards to this 19.81-ct blue unheated sapphire ring, and that is based on the size and color alone!  The bonus is that this gorgeous intense shade of dark blue is natural, never altered by the common heat treatment that most sapphires undergo.  It is very clear why so many of you have been eyeing this beauty on our website. If you haven't had a chance to see a video of this gorgeous unheated sapphire yet or want more info, CLICK HERE!

MEET THE TEAM: Our Hawaiian born Gemologist and Appraiser,
Grace Pahed, joined us in 2015 after many years in the luxury retail, fashion and jewelry world.  Grace graduated with a BS in Fashion Merchandising and Design from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Tired of life in paradise, Grace moved to San Francisco in 1996 and earned her Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America.   She recently earned her Registered Gemologist Appraiser degree from the International School of Gemology. If you need a food truck recommendation, Grace has you covered! When she isn’t working, Grace enjoys playing Ukulele and Hula dancing.

FAVORITE PIECE: Grace had a hard time narrowing down a favorite in the collection.  "I like and appreciate all of our jewelry!  Each piece has its own distinct style and concept that I admire.  I really appreciate period jewelry, interesting diamond cuts and colorful gemstones.  But, if I have to choose only one, it is the Art Deco Lorgnette Opera Glasses for the history and uniqueness.  It has a lot of style and I admire the craftsmanship mixed with functionality." Click here for a better look at this beautiful example of fine art deco jewelry in San Francisco!

MEET THE NEIGHBORS: With reviews on Yelp like, "Best sushi restaurant ever," it is hard to ignore this sleek new addition to Mint Plaza!   Sushi Hashiri originated in Tokyo and features a kaiseki style menu, meaning all of the courses are seasonal and chosen daily by the chef.  Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance so why not plan a visit to 66mint while you're in the area?  For more information click here.
